About the role

Senior Software Engineer to help deliver the next generation of high-performance, massively scalable file storage powering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Design and develop distributed storage systems that support some of the world's most demanding workloads, including AI/ML, HPC, and large-scale enterprise applications. Collaborate directly with high-profile customers to solve complex performance and scalability challenges while shaping the future of cloud storage. Stay at the forefront of datacenter innovation, leveraging the latest advances in compute, networking, and storage infrastructure to drive breakthrough improvements in performance, scale, efficiency, and reliability. Work on a mission-critical Tier 1 cloud service where contributions have a direct impact on customers running business-critical applications at global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Management to define and deliver new capabilities that address evolving customer needs and shape the future of OCI's file storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior architects and engineering leaders to design, implement, and deliver scalable, high-performance storage solutions.
  • Design, develop, and optimize new features for OCI's high-performance, distributed file storage platform.
  • Operate and continuously improve a mission-critical Tier 1 cloud service, maintaining strict availability, performance, and reliability SLAs for our most strategic customers.
  • Work closely with compute, networking, and other infrastructure teams to identify and implement opportunities to improve scalability, performance, efficiency, and operational excellence across OCI.
  • Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing, helping them grow their skills and take on increasing ownership and responsibility.
  • Drive engineering excellence by contributing to architecture discussions, code reviews, testing strategies, and operational best practices.

Pay

US Hiring Range: $79,200 - $209,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity. Salary ranges account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, locations, and reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on these factors as well as internal peer equity.

Accrual is prorated for employees working 20-34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
