Responsibilities
- Develop compelling creative concepts and overarching narratives for integrated, 360-degree marketing campaigns, ensuring a unified brand voice across digital, print, broadcast, and social channels.
- Craft highly engaging, concise, and platform-native copy for social media platforms, transforming complex brand messaging into relatable, thumb-stopping consumer content.
- Translate complex scientific and medical data into clear, accessible, and empathetic consumer copy for Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) audiences while meticulously adhering to FDA guidelines, fair balance, and ISI (Important Safety Information) requirements.
- Partner closely with Art Directors, Creative Directors, and medical/regulatory teams within the agency to brainstorm, refine, and deliver creative concepts that align with the client’s brand strategy.
- Own the copy process from initial scriptwriting and storyboarding to final proofing. Manage annotations and reference packages required for internal medical-legal-regulatory (MLR) reviews.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), paired with 5+ years of copywriting experience within an advertising agency setting.
- Vertical Expertise: Strong portfolio demonstrating experience writing for Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) pharmaceutical brands, with a solid grasp of writing for regulatory compliance.
- Campaign & Platform Mastery: Proven success building integrated 360 campaigns with a strong, demonstrable emphasis on social media platforms, short-form storytelling, and consumer engagement.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of style guidelines and experience managing the medical referencing and annotation process for regulatory submission.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional storytelling ability, conceptual depth, and extreme attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to self-manage workloads efficiently in a fast-paced, remote, freelance environment aligned with EST hours.
Pay
Up to $45/hour
