The Role
We Are Social is seeking a Senior Copywriter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a strategic creative leader who crafts narratives resonating with audiences, solves business challenges, and leads the creative process.
Responsibilities
- Concept, write, and create compelling copy that goes beyond surface-level engagement, delivering sophisticated ideas with strategic depth
- Understand and articulate the brand’s identity across visual and verbal executions
- Support new business initiatives by outlining and writing pitch decks
- Contribute high-level thinking to shape creative projects from inception to final delivery
- Master brand voice and produce top-tier copy under tight deadlines and budget constraints
- Drive creative problem-solving by finding adaptable solutions that align with evolving client needs and technical requirements
- Clearly articulate creative visions and interpret client feedback into actionable tasks
- Identify and capitalize on emerging social trends and cultural moments
- Defend creative work confidently to internal and external stakeholders, providing rationale for copy and conceptual decisions
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining quality and focus
- Mentor junior and mid-level writers, providing constructive feedback
- Leverage AI tools to generate robust campaign concepts, diverse variations, and comprehensive content
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective final products
Requirements
- 5+ years of agency experience with a portfolio showcasing multi-channel campaigns with strategic depth
- Robust knowledge of advertising fundamentals, including brand development, strategy, storytelling, design, and emerging platforms and technologies
- Full command of the creative process, from idea generation to campaign execution and client presentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to defend and explain creative choices to internal teams
