Senior Coordinator, Financial Counseling

Responsibilities

  • Authorization for radiation, consultations and all of the imaging the providers request
  • Research and re-submit denials from billing department
  • Verify patients’ benefits information including their deductibles and co-insurance information
  • Collecting time of service payments prior to the patient receiving their treatment or setting up a payment plan for the patient prior to treatment services
  • Will assist and help cover front desk duties including check in, check out, answering phones, scheduling appointments
  • Pull medical records to make sure patients have labs, testing, imaging or anything that the provider needs prior to their appointment
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Qualifications

    • 3-6 years of experience, preferred
    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
    • Prior experience working within healthcare financial services
    • At least 1 year of prior medical office experience, preferred
    • Medical knowledge, preferred

      • In-depth knowledge in technical or specialty area
      • Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently
      • May modify process to resolve situations
      • Works independently within established procedures; may receive general guidance on new assignments
      • May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
      • Pay

        Anticipated hourly range: $20.90 per hour - $33 per hour
