Senior Coordinator, Communications

About the role
The Senior Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the SVP of Communications and the communications department reach and achieve strategic goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted point of contact for the SVP of Communications, including internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and high standards.
- Manage complex calendars, travel, and scheduling across games, practices, events, concerts, league meetings, and business needs.
- Manage key strategic meetings, including presentation and agenda development, and meeting recaps.
- Assist with proactive outreach, scheduling, and coordination of executive speaking engagements.
- Manage, maintain, and update trackers, roadmaps, calendars, and develop and maintain an archive database.
- Assist in the planning, development, and execution of PR events and engagements; develop briefs, run of shows, and event schedules.
- Manage PR/VIP tickets and experiences (as they relate to communications).
- Monitor media and social media coverage and conversation.
- Coordinate and collaborate across departments to help drive productivity and efficiency of the broader communications team and identify story opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years professional experience, preferably in communications or as an executive assistant
Skills
- Highly skilled in relationship development, collaboration, and organization.
- Proven ability to write, develop relationships, lead project development, and follow through; proactive vs reactive approach.
- Experience in communications, PR, and/or media services, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, including Microsoft Office expert proficiency.
