About the Role

The Senior Coordinator, Advisory Services keeps the Strategic Research team running—literally. Without someone excelling in this role, the team cannot operate at the level our clients expect. You will own meeting coordination and documentation, manage the logistics of our advisory practice, and be the person who keeps 20 people organized, on schedule, and properly caffeinated.

This role offers an opportunity to become deeply embedded in how ACPWB's advisory practice operates, learning the business from the inside while contributing meaningfully to its efficiency. You will take ownership of meeting coordination and documentation, developing a working knowledge of advisory delivery support that makes you a more effective coordinator over time.

The Senior Coordinator, Advisory Services will serve as the operational backbone of ACPWB's Strategic Research team of 20. Your job is to ensure nothing falls through the cracks: meetings are well-coordinated and documented, the advisory practice stays organized, and the team can trust that logistics are handled. We are looking for someone who finds this role satisfying.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare meeting agendas, capture action items, and distribute follow-up documentation to stakeholders
  • Track continuing education and certification requirements for Strategic Research team members
  • Manage the Strategic Research team's intranet presence, including updating directories and resource libraries
  • Support the production of client deliverables by managing document formatting, assembly, and distribution
  • Support client communication logistics, including preparation of contact lists, mailing distributions, and scheduling

Qualifications

Required

  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to create structure where processes are not yet defined
  • Familiarity with expense reporting systems and basic budget tracking
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across departments and levels
  • Prior experience managing scheduling, logistics, or administrative workflows in a professional environment

Preferred

  • Prior experience managing meeting logistics for distributed or remote teams
  • Experience coordinating with legal, compliance, or finance departments on operational matters
  • Prior event planning or conference coordination experience

About ACPWB

ACPWB's research has been cited in proxy statements, board resolutions, congressional testimony, and one notable shareholder activist's public campaign. We believe that means our work is consequential. We know it means we have to keep earning that reputation every year.

ACPWB was founded in Milwaukee in 2006 with a simple mandate: help working Americans understand and advocate for the compensation they deserve. Eighteen years later, that mandate has grown into a full-service research and advisory practice serving clients from early-stage employers to Fortune 50 enterprises—and we are still based in Milwaukee, because Milwaukee is genuinely underrated.

Interview Process

Our process has four stages: a 30-minute talent screen, a 60-minute hiring manager interview, a 90-minute cross-functional panel, and a final conversation with a senior leader. We aim to complete the process in two to three weeks and communicate outcomes at each stage.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

  • Identify and propose at least one technology or tool that could improve team operations
  • Demonstrate the judgment to handle ambiguous situations independently while escalating appropriately
  • Receive formal feedback from at least two stakeholders confirming you have made their work easier
  • Build productive working relationships with all key stakeholders across the advisory practice
