How You’ll Make An Impact

• Develops and designs control software packages using PLCs and/or HMIs
• Examines and understands customer-supplied specifications to ensure equipment functionality
• Ensures equipment operates according to customer requirements
• Programs robotic and/or controls equipment based on customer specifications
• Performs preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize machine operation
• Assists with design checks to ensure proper functionality
• Provides timely service documentation and technical support
• Trains end-users on product and service functionality
• Ensures products and services remain industry leaders
• Demonstrates adherence to safe work practices

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or Technical Diploma with three years of college-level study or related experience
• Intermediate understanding of electrical circuits, electrical panel design, pneumatic design, hydraulic design, PLCs, HMI's, robot programming, VFD's, servo applications, and device communication networks
• Four (4) or more years of experience
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel up to 25% to customer sites and other JR locations
• Professional interaction with customers, including ability to handle challenging situations

• Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry, is strongly preferred
