This is a hands-on engineering role that offers exposure to complex automation projects, customer interaction, and the opportunity to drive innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems.
- Develop and modify HMI/SCADA applications.
- Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and controls documentation.
- Support system integration, startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with customers, project managers, and engineering teams throughout project execution.
- Provide technical support, training, and post-installation assistance.
- Assist with project planning, system design, and technical proposals.
- Support robotic and motion control applications as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of controls engineering experience in industrial automation, material handling, packaging, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley; experience with Siemens, Beckhoff, or Omron is a plus.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms and industrial communication networks.
- Robotics integration and programming is preferred. (Fanuc, UR, or Omron)
- Knowledge of electrical design, control panels, NEC, NFPA, UL, and industrial safety standards.
- Experience with servo systems, motion control, robotics, or machine integration preferred.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25-40% for project support and commissioning activities.
