Key Responsibilities
- PLC Programming: Develop and implement software for automation systems using both Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms.
- Project Ownership: Lead projects from concept to completion ("cradle to grave"), including writing software, commissioning devices, and ensuring successful system operation.
- Commissioning: Confidently commission devices "out of the box" and ensure everything operates as expected in the field.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel approximately 30% to 65% of the time. Senior-level engineers with strong mentorship capabilities will have reduced travel requirements as they help guide and support junior team members.
- Mentorship & Teamwork: Collaborate with the team, provide training and mentorship to less experienced engineers, and foster a supportive and learning-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Experience Level: Mid to Senior level (5+ years preferred).
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency with both Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems is required.
- Project Leadership: Proven experience in managing and executing control system projects from start to finish.
- Commissioning Experience: Ability to commission new devices and systems confidently.
- Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Haves): Experience with or a desire to learn robot programming, hardware design, and familiarity with higher-level programming languages such as C, Python, or CodeSys.
