About the role

The Senior Contracts and Legal Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day management of the company's commercial, vendor, and procurement agreements while building the legal operations infrastructure to support rapid growth. This is a hybrid contracts-and-legal-ops role where you will draft, negotiate, and manage contracts across the business while also designing and implementing AI-powered workflows, CLM systems, and automation tools that make the legal team faster and more scalable.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and execute a high volume of commercial agreements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business teams on contract questions, guiding stakeholders through the contracting process from intake to signature.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Security, and Privacy teams to facilitate compliance with internal contracting processes, fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Assist with corporate maintenance, including annual filings and corporate hygiene.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and clause libraries aligned with Prenuvo's risk tolerance and policies.
  • Track contract obligations, renewal dates, and key milestones to ensure compliance and timely action.
  • Harness the power of technology to implement and maintain a cutting-edge contract management system, integrating automated solutions to manage and triage a large volume of contracts, expedite contract review, and drive innovation and efficiency in our legal operations.
  • Design and deploy AI-powered and agentic workflows to automate routine contract review, triage, and approval processes.
  • Build integrations across legal tools and business systems using low-code/no-code automation platforms.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase the legal team's speed and capacity.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Security, and Privacy teams on contracting processes and cross-functional compliance matters.
  • Aid in corporate maintenance, including entity management, annual filings, and corporate governance records.
  • Support other legal team projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 6+ years of experience in contract management, legal operations, or a comparable in-house legal support role.
  • Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements (SaaS, vendor, procurement, services).
  • Experience implementing or administering CLM systems (e.g., Ironclad, Agiloft, DocuSign CLM, or similar).
  • Proficiency with AI-powered legal tools and the ability to design workflows that automate routine legal processes.
  • Working knowledge of low-code/no-code automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, Power Automate) to build integrations across systems.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain contract terms and legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.

Qualifications

  • J.D. or paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare-specific agreements (BAAs, clinical services agreements, medical device or imaging contracts) preferred.
  • Experience supporting contracting across multiple countries or legal systems preferred.
  • Certified Contract Manager (CCM) or similar professional certification preferred.

Pay

The base salary for this role ranges from $165,000-$185,000 in local currency, depending upon experience and geographic location.
