Senior consumer Relations Specialist
About the role
Serves as a Senior Consumer Relations Specialist, reviewing complaints, determining solutions, and delivering responses to customers. Assists in resolving claims and interacting with internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and resolves customer complaints and escalations
- Provides superior customer service to internal and external customers
- Assists other team members in accurate claim resolutions
- Communicates effectively with all levels within AIG Warranty, clients, and vendors
- Processes claim paperwork and serves as a liaison between customers, clients, and vendors
- Handles and responds to back-orders and replacement claims in a timely manner
- Uses assigned claims authority to review and approve or deny repairs, determine repair vs. replace solutions, and process payments
- Attempts to resolve escalated issues within three business days
Requirements
- Proficient with PC’s, especially MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with various personalities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Previous customer service and/or phone experience
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple issues simultaneously
- Ability to negotiate with customers and vendors
- Ability to coach and assist other team members professionally
- Experience handling inbound customer service and escalation calls
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Superb organizational skills
