Senior Consulting Engineer - DC Engineering Inspections
About the role
The Senior Consulting Engineer at Dynamic Engineering Consultants, P.C. is responsible for sitework and building inspections for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. They lead the inspections team, ensuring daily compliance, resolving construction issues, and managing client relationships. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure daily compliance and resolve construction-related issues.
- Manage team assignments and workload in a deadline-driven environment.
- Provide vision and guidance to the firm in inspections.
- Offer technical assistance to staff and clients.
- Build and manage client relationships.
- Lead projects to ensure they are on schedule and on budget.
- Understand and verify project-specific specifications.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, inspectors, and supervisors regarding specifications and qualifications.
- Review shop drawings and onsite safety and quality of construction work according to contract specifications.
- Mentor and develop staff.
- Travel to work sites.
- Prepare written reports based on qualification tests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or a similar discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in inspections engineering in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
- Valid driver’s license.
- E.I.T. license required.
- P.E. license preferred.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Independent and critical thinking abilities.
- The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management.
- Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronic data.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, plus the ability to speak laterally.
- A self-starter who can work independently and with team members.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $82k - $125k.
