About the role

The Senior Consulting Engineer at Dynamic Engineering Consultants, P.C. is responsible for sitework and building inspections for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. They lead the inspections team, ensuring daily compliance and resolving construction-related issues. This role involves managing team assignments, balancing workload, providing technical assistance, and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily compliance and resolve construction-related issues.
  • Manage team assignments and balance workload in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Provide vision and guidance to the firm in the area of inspections.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff and clients to resolve problems.
  • Verify that materials, equipment, and procedures meet project specifications.
  • Test and qualify procedure results.
  • Build and manage client relationships.
  • Lead projects to ensure they are on schedule and on budget.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, other inspectors, and supervisors regarding specifications and qualifications.
  • Review shop drawings and onsite safety and quality of construction work according to contract specifications.
  • Prepare written reports in accordance with qualification tests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • 10 years’ experience in inspections engineering in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • E.I.T. license required.
  • P.E. license preferred.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Independent and critical thinking abilities.
  • The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management.
  • Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronic data.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, plus the ability to speak laterally.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and with team members.

  • Understanding of specifications required for given projects.

The salary range for this position is $82k - $125k.
