Senior Consultant Trainer
About the role
Travel up to 10% is required. A Public Trust clearance is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Train maintenance and administration of classroom, virtual, and web-based courses.
- Deliver live instructor-led training in both traditional and virtual environments.
- Create course materials, handouts, instructor guides, and visual aids.
- Support distance learning through various platforms like online courses, mobile learning, webcasts, podcasts, and video-based training.
- Manage the agency’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is uploaded, modules are maintained, and compliance with Section 508 standards is upheld.
- Maintain training effectiveness through assessments and analytics, recommending improvements.
- Coordinate logistics for instructor-led and virtual sessions, including scheduling and prerequisite tracking.
- Provide technical support and customer service for training participants.
Training Redesign
- Conduct training needs assessments across all practitioner levels.
- Redesign existing courses and develop new curriculum for financial and acquisitions operations.
- Create innovative learning solutions such as gamification, blended/hybrid models, and interactive e-learning.
- Develop certification programs aligned with federal standards.
- Pilot new courses, gather feedback, and refine before full rollout.
- Ensure all materials remain current with policy, system, and organizational changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 4+ years in instructional design, training development, and delivery.
- Expertise in adult learning theory and technology-enabled training.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency with LMS administration and virtual learning platforms.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Ability to integrate emerging technologies into training programs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Tier 2 Public Trust clearance.
- US citizen or have US residency for at least 3 of the past 5 years.
- Compliance with federal security, privacy, and records management policies.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPTD, ATD) preferred.
- Familiarity with federal financial management and acquisitions training is a plus.
Skills
- Technical proficiency with LMS administration and virtual learning platforms.
- Section 508 accessibility standards knowledge.
