Responsibilities

  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses through market research to inform acquisition target identification, pipeline development, and investment prioritization
  • Sourcing and screening potential acquisition targets aligned to Deloitte’s priority growth areas
  • Supporting development of strategic rationale, investment theses, business cases, financial models, and executive-level recommendations for potential acquisitions
  • Managing due diligence workstreams across financial, operational, commercial, technology, and human resources stakeholders, and synthesizing findings into executive-level materials
  • Planning and supporting post-close integration activities, including integration roadmap development, synergy tracking, governance structures, project plans, and milestone tracking

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investment banking, management consulting, transaction advisory, or private equity
  • 2+ years of experience conducting market research, target screening, and business case development for acquisitions or strategic investments
  • 2+ years of experience building financial models in Microsoft Excel and developing executive-level presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Master of Business Administration preferred
  • Experience supporting acquisitions across the investment lifecycle, from target evaluation through integration
  • Experience in the professional services industry preferred
  • Experience developing synergy models and value creation assumptions preferred
  • Experience managing due diligence or post-close integration workstreams across cross-functional stakeholders preferred
  • Experience preparing materials for senior executive or board-level stakeholders preferred

$93,000 to $171,300
