Work you'll do
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses through market research to inform acquisition target identification, pipeline development, and investment prioritization
- Sourcing and screening potential acquisition targets aligned to Deloitte’s priority growth areas
- Supporting development of strategic rationale, investment theses, business cases, financial models, and executive-level recommendations for potential acquisitions
- Managing due diligence workstreams across financial, operational, commercial, technology, and human resources stakeholders, and synthesizing findings into executive-level materials
- Planning and supporting post-close integration activities, including integration roadmap development, synergy tracking, governance structures, project plans, and milestone tracking

The Team
This position is part of Deloitte’s US Corporate Development (USCD) function. USCD plays a critical role in shaping Deloitte’s future by driving the firm’s inorganic and organic growth agenda. The team partners with senior leaders across the firm to evaluate, prioritize, and execute strategic investments that strengthen Deloitte’s market position and long-term growth trajectory. USCD operates at the center of strategy, investment execution, and enterprise transformation. Team members work in a high-impact, high-visibility environment, supporting some of the firm’s most significant and complex growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of experience in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investment banking, management consulting, transaction advisory, or private equity
- 2+ years of experience conducting market research, target screening, and business case development for acquisitions or strategic investments
- 2+ years of experience building financial models in Microsoft Excel and developing executive-level presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
- Preferred:
- Master of Business Administration
- Experience supporting acquisitions across the investment lifecycle, from target evaluation through integration
- Experience in the professional services industry
- Experience developing synergy models and value creation assumptions
- Experience managing due diligence or post-close integration workstreams across cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience preparing materials for senior executive or board-level stakeholders
Pay
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $171,300.
