About The Role

FTI Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Insolvency and Commercial Litigation Practice, a specialized group with FTI's Corporate Finance segment. You will provide litigation services to plaintiffs and defendants across a wide range of industries in disputes dealing with solvency, valuation, damages, and lost profits.

What You'll Do

  • Research various valuation topics; review document productions; investigate case background, prepare analyses focused on valuations, capitalization, and cashflows; and draft mediation decks, expert reports, and testimony outlines
  • Apply business, accounting, finance, and diagnostic skills to various client situations and practice disciplines
  • Prepare complex financial projections and other financial models
  • Prepare presentations and reports for external client
  • Assist with practice development including the creation of pitches and conducting market research
  • As availability allows, join restructuring teams on company- and lender-side engagements to assess clients' business plans; prepare 13-week cash flow forecasts and multi-year projections; and work with clients' senior management, legal counsel, and/or other financial advisors to evaluate potential restructuring transactions or alternatives

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
  • 2+ years post-graduation professional work experience in investment banking, corporate lending, consulting, public accounting, or other professional services environment
  • This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Capital IQ and related Excel plug-in
  • Analysis of financial statements
  • Preparation of financial models such as three statement models
  • Analysis of cash flows and 13-week forecasts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and comfortable working across multiple workstreams and engagements in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

Pay

Minimum Pay: $78,500 Maximum Pay: $163,000. The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
