Purpose of Position

The Data Champion Team Lead will oversee and guide a team of reporting analysts and business intelligence developers, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of data solutions that align with facility and organizational goals. This role is critical in bridging the gap between local facilities and Central Office DnA, ensuring data-driven insights support key business decisions and operational needs. The team lead will foster a collaborative, high-performance environment, promote continuous improvement, and drive innovation to enhance the team’s capabilities and output. As a strategic leader, the Data Champion Team Lead will contribute to the development of data solutions that empower the local facility to achieve its objectives while supporting individual team members’ growth and success.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a data champion team of reporting analysts and business intelligence developers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data solutions.
  • Set clear team goals, define performance expectations, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure high-quality results in data reporting, analysis, and business intelligence projects.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and professional development support to team members to enhance performance and growth.
  • Resolve conflicts and foster a positive, collaborative, and productive team environment.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the data team and senior leadership, ensuring clear communication of progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership and DnA leadership on data and analytics requests.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand business requirements and ensure data solutions meet operational needs.
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the team, identifying areas for optimization and growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and
  • Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications.
  • Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years).
  • Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience.
  • Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques; or
  • A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with EPIC reporting tools, is a plus.
