Senior Consultant--Human Services Subject Matter Expert

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Consultant--Human Services Subject Matter Expert to join the team of a leader in the Legal & Accounting space. This role will provide senior-level consulting support on state human services and public health initiatives, with a strong focus on advising government clients. The consultant will guide project execution, translate complex federal regulations into practical action, and serve as a trusted partner to client leadership and stakeholders. This position also requires the ability to lead teams, manage deliverables, and support engagements that must stay on schedule and within budget. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 annually Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert for human services programs on state agency projects Understand and implement federal regulations in human services and public health Lead the human services operations team for a client engagement Deliver client services on schedule and within budget while overseeing staff and project deliverables Report project status, including risks, to client executive leadership Inspire and motivate project teams and act as a trusted advisor to clients Facilitate client stakeholder meetings with professionalism Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human services, public health, social services, or a related field, or equivalent work experience 8+ years working with and/or for state government agencies Knowledge of state government human services programs, services, and policies Proven leadership experience in project team settings Strong customer focus and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Excel Benefits Comprehensive physical and mental well-being support Career development opportunities Positive and innovative team culture Flexible work arrangements, including remote options Access to a variety of professional training and learning activities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
