Aon Human Capital is looking for a Senior Consultant in the Norwalk, New York Metro area, offering a hybrid work arrangement. This role is part of Aon’s Human Capital Rewards Solutions practice, focusing on financial services compensation benchmarking and consulting for McLagan clients. You will support the Corporate and Investment Banking business segment, working with leading global financial services firms, including asset managers, banks, brokers, advisory firms, insurers, and fintech companies.

About the role

This is a hybrid position requiring 2+ days per week in the Connecticut office. As a Senior Consultant, you will work across the firm’s performance and reward products to drive sales, manage and review data, innovate new solutions, and deliver high-quality client deliverables. You will collaborate with senior management, present analytics to clients, and provide strategic advice to mid and senior-level HR professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop templates, manage timelines, and execute annual deliverables with limited supervision.
  • Create high-quality deliverables, synthesizing and interpreting complex information beyond standard templates.
  • Present analytics to deliver in-depth insights, conclusions, and recommendations to clients.
  • Provide strategic advice to mid and senior-level client HR professionals.
  • Manage project and product timelines, methodologies, and junior colleagues.
  • Develop and lead client proposals, understanding the reward solutions business across multiple sectors.
  • Partner with marketing to draft sector-specific content for outreach.
  • Author moderately complex proposals for data-focused deliverables.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and segmentation in size and performance within the sector.
  • Develop technical training for staff on insights and analyses using templates.
  • Provide clear direction to junior analysts and foster a professional, client-focused environment.
  • Build tools to improve work processes and data insights, reviewing junior analysts' work for accuracy.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of management consulting or human resources experience in the financial industry.
  • Highly numerate and analytical with excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of compensation is a strong plus.
  • Experience leading projects and engagements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present to senior management.
  • Well-organized, delivery-driven, and able to work under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proficiency in report writing.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $120,000 – $145,000 annually, varying based on education, experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic location. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus under Aon’s incentive plans.
