Senior Consultant, Data Solutions
Aon Human Capital is looking for a Senior Consultant in the Norwalk, New York Metro area, offering a hybrid work arrangement. As part of Aon’s Human Capital Rewards Solutions practice, you will deliver financial services compensation benchmarking and consulting for McLagan clients, leveraging industry-leading data and advisory insights. This role supports the Corporate and Investment Banking business segment, serving global financial services firms, including asset managers, banks, brokers, advisory firms, insurers, and fintech companies.
This hybrid role requires in-office presence in Connecticut 2+ days per week.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced consultant to join our Financial Services Data Solutions Team as a Senior Consultant. In this role, you will drive incremental sales, broaden client relationships, manage and review data, and innovate new products and solutions across Aon’s performance and reward offerings.
Responsibilities
- Develop templates, manage timelines, and independently execute annual deliverables while collaborating with senior data solutions management to integrate new insights.
- Create high-quality deliverables, including synthesizing and interpreting complex information beyond standard templates.
- Understand key data product differentiators to drive revenue growth and opportunity.
- Present analytics to deliver in-depth insights, conclusions, and recommendations to clients.
- Provide strategic advice to mid- and senior-level client HR professionals, answering complex questions.
- Serve as the day-to-day "go-to" expert for moderately complex client questions within your sector.
- Manage project and product timelines, methodologies, and junior colleagues.
- Develop and lead client proposals, articulating the value proposition of Aon’s reward solutions across multiple sectors.
- Convey client segment trends to senior internal colleagues and influence product strategy.
- Partner with marketing to draft sector-specific content for outreach and author moderately complex proposals.
- Understand the competitive landscape, including segmentation by size and performance.
- Develop technical training for staff on insights and analyses using templates.
- Provide clear direction to junior analysts on content development and foster a professional, client-focused environment.
- Build tools to improve work processes and enhance data product quality.
- Review work completed by junior analysts, identifying results that deviate from expectations.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of management consulting or human resources experience in the financial industry.
- Highly numerate and analytical with excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills, including verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of compensation is a strong plus.
- Experience leading projects and engagements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present effectively to senior management.
- Well-organized, delivery-driven, and able to work under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Proficiency in report writing.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $120,000–$145,000 annually, with variations based on education, experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic location. This role is eligible for participation in Aon’s annual incentive plans, which may include a discretionary bonus.
