Senior Data Engineer
About the role
Join a fast-growing alternative investment firm with more than $35 billion in assets under management that is continuing to build out its data, technology, and investment platforms. You will work in a modern Microsoft and Azure environment, building data platforms, business applications, integrations, reporting solutions, and automation used across the firm. You will connect data from portfolio management, accounting, operations, market data, and other business systems, including both third-party platforms and internally developed applications.
What you'll do
- Take ownership of projects and applications from the initial conversation through design, development, delivery, adoption, and continued improvement
- Work directly with people across investments, operations, accounting, and other areas of the firm to understand what they are trying to accomplish
- Help shape solutions, build them, and get feedback from users

What we're looking for
- Enjoyment of building, integrating systems, working with data, and using technology to solve real business problems
- Ability to work across investment strategies including private equity, credit, insurance solutions, and other alternative investment strategies
- Comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment with experienced leadership and sophisticated users
- Interest in taking meaningful ownership as the platform continues to grow
You do not need to know every technology in the environment. What matters most is that you enjoy building, integrating systems, working with data, and using technology to solve real business problems.
