About the role

Hybrid-based position in our Seattle, WA; Vancouver WA; Portland, OR office.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical due diligence for data center sites, including environmental assessments and/or civil/site feasibility analysis.
  • Aid in the development of new, or evaluation of existing site layout, grading/drainage, utilities, stormwater, zoning, and permitting pathways.
  • Prepare clear, concise, client-ready deliverables summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Ramboll experts across environmental, civil, water, geotechnical, electrical, and EHS disciplines and project managers to support integrated project delivery.
  • Participate in site visits, client discussions, and early-stage planning workshops.

Qualifications

  • About you: 7+ years of experience in environmental consulting or civil/site engineering.
  • Experience in mission-critical/data center due diligence or site development engineering (grading, stormwater, utilities, land use).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, site plans, basis of design documents, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
  • Proven client communication capabilities in fast-paced consulting environments. Clear presentation skills and ability to respond to technical questions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Environmental Track: ASTM due diligence experience, permitting familiarity, environmental design basis knowledge.
  • Civil Track: Experience with site layout, land development permitting, grading, utilities, hydrology, or stormwater management.
  • Either Track: Experience supporting mission critical/data center, hyperscale/cloud, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to integrate engineering and environmental considerations into feasibility assessments.

  • Salary Transparency Statement: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $107,167 - $133,959 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
