About the role
West Monroe is seeking a Senior Consultant, Data/AI Due Diligence to join our Technology & Experience Practice; M&A Transaction Services–Data Engineering & Analytics. This role will deliver on technology M&A due diligence projects, partnering with other M&A Transaction Services advisors/architects and executive client stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide assessment solutions and tech advisory for client M&A activity.
- Assess technology/libraries/tooling landscapes to make recommendations to strategic investors.
- Formulate strategic investment summaries and long-term technology-based strategies.
- Link business strategy to data strategy and deliver impactful outcomes.
- Present, interpret, and recommend results of work, including developing new concepts and major advances in the field.
- Create white papers and represent the organization at industry conferences and events.
- Lead and mentor data engineers/architects/BI analysts and practitioners.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for data platform engineering, data strategy, and data modeling initiatives.
- Stay updated on latest development trends in cloud, data platforms, databases, reporting tools, and various technologies.
- Drive new business opportunities by identifying unique opportunities and liaising with appropriate client leads.
- Manage projects, including time tracking, budgeting, and status reporting.
- Achieve in-year revenue expectations and demonstrate strong critical thinking, leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Show personal involvement in the room with clients, co-creating through challenges.
Qualifications
- Master’s/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum 2-5+ years of hands-on professional development experience in data modeling and data design.
- Experience with technical programming to access and extract data from diverse sources.
- Experience with large, sophisticated data models and data migration to and from disparate data systems/platforms, including cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Good knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a data warehousing and BI environment.
- Experience with cloud-native, industry-leading products and emerging, start-up offerings, including proposal development, estimation, and day-to-day project management.
- Strong sense of urgency with comfortability delivering solutions in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Excellent critical thinking, leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel for out-of-town client engagements (up to 30-50% travel).
