Senior Construction Site Representative

Job Description

As a Senior Construction Site Representative specializing in asbestos subcontractor management and requiring a Radiological qualification, you will oversee U.S. Government construction projects. Acting as the primary point of contact on-site, you will communicate with subcontractors, technical staff, and the local field office. You are responsible for ensuring all work—including asbestos abatement—is performed in strict compliance with safety standards, regulations, permit requirements. Collaborating with the Project Execution Team, you will monitor construction quality, coordinate with all involved parties, and ensure safe operations throughout the project, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks and maintain accurate project records for stakeholder reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of asbestos subcontractors, ensuring compliance with radiological and safety requirements
• Cook up work sequencing to prevent delays and maintain project timelines
• Lead or participate in daily and weekly coordination meetings with all stakeholders
• Enforce safety policies, regulatory standards, and radiological controls; conduct inspections and halt unsafe or non-compliant work
• Verify work quality, perform inspections, and coordinate necessary testing and commissioning—including radiological assessments
• Maintain detailed daily reports, documenting changes, issues, and progress impacts
• Review subcontractor progress, time-sheets, and documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure subcontractors work within scope and support evaluations for change requests
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, owners, inspectors, and project management
• Track schedule progress, identify deviations, and support recovery planning as needed
• Manage site logistics, housekeeping, staging areas, and site access, ensuring radiological safety protocols are upheld

Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill

• A high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or
• An Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a related construction, technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or
• A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related construction, technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supervising construction sites with asbestos abatement and radiological controls
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, construction standards, and radiological safety protocols
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with testing, inspections, quality control, and radiological monitoring processes
• Experience working on federal, industrial, or highly regulated project sites

Pay Range

$78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually
