About the role

We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage large transportation infrastructure construction projects and construction management teams in the Texas area. The Senior Construction Project Manager will work with our Business Leaders to plan and manage our Texas transportation Project Management/Construction Management organization, actively work on large transportation infrastructure projects in a Senior PM position and work with our sales organization in growing our PM/CM transportation business.

On projects, the Senior CPM will be responsible for careful planning, effective communication, and proactive risk management to mitigate or eliminate project risks that threaten the construction schedule, budget, safety, or quality. You’ll work with the program leadership and the client in development and execution of the overall construction approach and resource allocation of manpower and support resources required to meet the delivery needs.

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities include eliminating/reducing financial surprises, improving clarity around performance expectations, establishing focus on project performance and delivering to expectations, focus on improving gaps in margin and operations performance and drive to achieve a state of quality control rigor and consistency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.
  • 15 plus years’ of progressively challenging leadership experience on major infrastructure construction projects performing project management, project controls, procurement services and construction management for transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics, and a proven history leading project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations.
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work.
  • Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.

Ideally, you’ll also have PE and/or CCM certification, Texas Department of Transportation experience, and experience with other transportation municipalities within Texas.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $206,400.00 to $300,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
