Senior Construction Manager, Transportation Infrastructure

Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of large, complex construction projects serving as a client liaison and leading project teams.
- Engage in the Construction Management community, mentor staff, and document lessons learned.
- Support recruitment by screening candidates, interviewing, and collaborating with HR on employment offers.
- Supervise design-phase constructability and sequencing reviews.
- Manage bid phase activities: pre-bid meetings, contractor inquiries, addenda issuance, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.
- Manage preconstruction planning, approve procedures and tools, and review contract documents for construction phase readiness.
- Direct multiple large, complex projects simultaneously.
- Oversee day-to-day construction management to ensure compliance with design, budget, and schedule; enforce contractor compliance.
- Act as a liaison with clients, agencies, and stakeholders; represent company at meetings and public forums.
- Monitor contractor schedules and address delays.
- Review inspection reports, material test reports, RFIs, submittals, schedules, shop drawings, change orders, and pay applications for accuracy and compliance.
- Cookordination activities across disciplines and resolve project issues promptly.
- Implement and enforce company, client, and project policies, procedures, best practices, standards, quality frameworks, and proper use of IP and reusable assets.
- Promote and ensure adherence to company and client health and programs.
- Oversee post-construction closeout, including final deliverables, punch lists, warranties, and invoicing.
Requirements
Professional Engineering (PE) licensure is required. Construction Manager Certification (CCM) is an asset. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or other related engineering field is required. A minimum of 15 years of experience, including experience working on large, complex transit projects with construction value more than $500M. Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience successfully executing technical aspects of a wide range of medium to complex projects, including Alternate Project Delivery (APD).

Pay
$178,400.00 - $276,600.00 Annually
