About the role

The Construction Team at Fluidstack is responsible for running a data center construction project end-to-end. This includes managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and stakeholders from notice to proceed through turnover. Key responsibilities include negotiating change orders, chairing the owner-architect-contractor rhythm, and ensuring the finished building is handed over to commissioning and operations clean with documentation that survives the first audit.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Project-manage $100M+ construction projects and bring them in on the numbers.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate change orders where the contractor's position is well-argued and wrong.
  • Meeting Leadership: Manage meetings that result in decisions and deadlines with owners and stakeholders.
  • Team Coordination: Manage design teams and contractors simultaneously without becoming a bottleneck.
  • Documentation: Ensure project documentation survives claims or audits.

Requirements

  • Experience: You have project-managed $100M+ construction and brought it in on the numbers.
  • Negotiation Skills: You have negotiated change orders where the contractor's position was well-argued and wrong.
  • Meeting Leadership: You run meetings that end in decisions with owners and dates.
  • Team Coordination: You manage design teams and contractors simultaneously without becoming the bottleneck.
  • Documentation: Your project documentation has survived a claim or an audit.

Bonus

  • Data Center Experience: Preference given to those with experience in data center or mission-critical projects.
  • EPC or Design-Build Contracts: Preference given to those with experience in EPC or design-build contracts.
  • Cost Control Tooling: Preference given to those familiar with cost control tooling.
  • Commissioning Handover: Preference given to those experienced in commissioning handover processes.

Pay

$304K - $349K

Schedule

Full-time, remote work is available.
