About the role
The Construction Team at Fluidstack is responsible for running a data center construction project end-to-end. This includes managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and stakeholders from notice to proceed through turnover. Key responsibilities include negotiating change orders, chairing the owner-architect-contractor rhythm, and ensuring the finished building is handed over clean with documentation that survives the first audit.
Responsibilities
- Manage budgets, schedules, and contracts for construction projects
- Negotiate change orders and manage claims
- Chair the owner-architect-contractor rhythm to ensure decisions move at build speed
- Ensure the project documentation survives audits and claims
- Manage design teams and contractors simultaneously without becoming a bottleneck
Requirements
- Project management experience on $100M+ construction projects
- Experience negotiating change orders where the contractor's position is well-argued and wrong
- Experience managing meetings that result in decisions with owners and dates
- Experience with cost control tooling and commissioning handover processes
Qualifications
- Exceptional project documentation that has survived audits and claims
- Experience with data center or mission-critical projects
- Experience with EPC or design-build contracts
Skills
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple parties simultaneously
- Experience with cost control and commissioning handover processes
