Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician
About the role
The Senior Construction Materials and Testing (CMT) Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects. This role involves independently collecting construction materials samples, performing tests and inspections, documenting findings, and communicating results to project managers and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collect and test construction materials samples from various job sites.
- Document findings and communicate results to project managers and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate informed decision-making and maintain the structural integrity and safety of construction projects.
- Travel to various job sites around the Oklahoma City and/or Tulsa area metro.
- Work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.
Requirements
- The use of a company truck for transportation to and from job sites.
- Applicable PPE (personal protective equipment) provided.
- Work boot reimbursement program.

Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
- Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred, but not required.
- 6+ years' experience in construction observation or inspection.
- ICC, ACI Grade I, Nuclear Gauge certifications required OR a bachelors degree in engineering with EIT.
- ODOT certifications preferred.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving history.
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
