Senior Construction Inspector
Overview
The Sr. Construction Inspector leads field inspection and construction oversight for civil infrastructure projects across Southeast Michigan. This role ensures projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards while serving as a key liaison between field teams, clients, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee construction inspection, contract administration, and quality control
Ensure work meets plans, specs, budgets, and schedules
Coverage with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Lead and mentor inspection staff
Review drawings, track progress, and manage documentation/reporting
Identify risks, resolve field issues, and maintain project compliance
Requirements
7+ years of construction inspection experience (civil/infrastructure)
Strong knowledge of construction standards (roads, sewer, watermain, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret plans and specs
Leadership and communication skills
Valid driver’s license
Preferred
Preferred Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
10+ years of experience
NASSCO certification and municipal project experience
Work Environment
Primarily field-based across Metro Detroit~45–50 hours/week, occasional SaturdaysWork truck provided

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
