Responsibilities

- Oversee and review the operational efficiency of McAlvain's self-performed work.
- Plan, direct, and train quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) functions.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of contract documents, shop drawings, and "as built" / record drawings.
- Support the team in documenting project progress according to company policies.
- Ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality project close-out procedures.
- Maintain job cleanliness, branding, marketing, and presentation according to company standards.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with subcontractors to support continued business growth.
- Work in a broad range of construction types, ensuring projects are executed according to design, budget, and schedule.
- Collaborate with project superintendent, foreman, trades, client representatives, A/E representatives, and other contractors.
- Create a proactive safety culture and ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Administer project safety programs and conduct safety meetings and trainings regularly.
- Conduct monthly safety audits, including site visits and documentation reviews.
- Develop and audit project schedules at all phases of design development.
- Support the planning and coordination of on-site functions, such as engineering, scheduling, and material deliveries.
- Lead the development and implementation of project procedures and standards.
- Train and motivate field superintendents, foremen, and management teams.
- Ensure updated project schedules and sub-schedules are maintained.
- Align field operations with the requirements of the Prime Agreement.
- Monitor design details for cost and constructability.
- Maintain familiarity with owner contract terms and risks.
- Assist with project pursuits by developing early schedules, logistics plans, and work plans.
- Review, approve, or deny purchase orders and pay requests.
Requirements
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
- Experience in self-performing concrete work with a minimum of 8-10 years.
- Proficiency in software such as Bluebeam, Procore, Outbuild, Primavera, and Vista.
- A strong grasp of all building construction trades.
- Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling.
- Ability to project costs accurately.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety standards, including OSHA 30 or greater.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to set and achieve goals.

- Support field superintendents and foremen in their positions by exhibiting strong leadership.
- Ensure foreman planning for self-performed work to anticipate equipment and manpower needs.
- Ensure updated project schedules and sub-schedules are maintained as required.
- Increase overall schedule awareness.
- Ensure field operations are aligned with the requirements of the Prime Agreement.
- Monitor design details for cost and constructability.
- Maintain familiarity with owner contract terms and risks.
- Assist with project pursuits by developing early schedules, logistics plans, and work plans.
- Reviews, approves, or denies purchase orders and pay requests.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Typically, the schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
