Senior Compliance Specialist
About the role
This proactive role engages with business partners to implement compliance strategies and influence positive outcomes. The Senior Compliance Specialist serves as a key advisor on regulatory compliance risks, establishing policies and processes to mitigate risks and ensure legal adherence. The position identifies and assesses regulatory risk, provides practical guidance to business partners, and helps implement compliant products, processes, and controls. The role also ensures that standards and procedures are maintained, supports risk assessments, regulatory change management, and issue management.
Responsibilities
- Guides on risk mitigation, policy implementation, and legal research
- Presents risk implications to leadership
- Conducts risk assessments and regulatory change management
- Balances strategic and tactical projects
- Ensures initiatives comply with laws
- Drives risk-based solutions and educates on Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance Management System framework
- Collaborates on solutions to mitigate regulatory risks and guides business partners on compliance
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 5–8 years of experience in consumer credit, banking compliance, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent education
- Advanced degree in law
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
- Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP)
- 6+ years in consumer credit lending and banking compliance

Pay
The salary range for this position is $81,100 – $129,800. Actual base pay may vary based on work location, education, experience, and skills.

- Illinois: $81,100 – $142,800
- Maine: $81,100 – $129,800

- Ohio: $81,100 – $129,800
