About the role

The Senior Compliance Professional ensures compliance with governmental requirements. Work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The role develops and implements compliance policies and procedures, researches compliance issues, and recommends changes that assure compliance with contract obligations. Begins to influence department’s strategy and makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components. Work is performed without direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Research compliance issues and recommend changes to assure compliance with contract obligations.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple demanding projects.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Analyze metrics, reporting, and data for compliance insights.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in compliance.
  • 1+ years of experience with presenting to leadership.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demanding projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations governed by the Department of Insurance and CMS.
  • 1+ years of experience in metrics, reporting, and analysis.
  • 2+ years of relationship management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate or advanced degree.
  • Audit or consulting experience.

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested. Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
  • Associates who live and work from home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi-weekly payment for internet expenses.
  • Humana will provide telephone equipment appropriate to meet business requirements for the position.
  • Any associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment (Interagency Language Rating test).

Travel

While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay

The pay range for this full-time (40 hours per week) position is $86,300 - $118,700 per year. The range may vary based on geographic location, and individual pay will depend on demonstrated skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications. This role is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
