Senior Compliance Analyst
About the role
The Senior Compliance Analyst plays a critical role in advancing and maintaining the organization’s compliance program across a healthcare MSO and affiliated entities in California. This position oversees complex compliance operations, leads monitoring and audit readiness efforts, and provides strategic support in regulatory and risk-related initiatives. The Sr. Compliance Analyst partners closely with Compliance leadership to ensure effective program execution, drives data integrity and reporting enhancements, leads investigations and corrective actions, and serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on regulatory requirements. This role also provides mentorship to junior staff and strengthens compliance controls, processes, and organizational readiness for audits.
Responsibilities
- Oversee complex compliance operations within a healthcare MSO and affiliated entities.
- Lead monitoring and audit readiness efforts.
- Provide strategic support in regulatory and risk-related initiatives.
- Partner with Compliance leadership to ensure effective program execution.
- Drive data integrity and reporting enhancements.
- Lead investigations and corrective actions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior staff and strengthen compliance controls and processes.
- Enhance organizational readiness for audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field (minimum).
- Advanced degree or specialized training in healthcare compliance, law, or a related discipline (preferred).
- 4+ years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, auditing, or a regulatory environment (minimum).
- Experience in MSO, IPA, medical group, or managed care setting (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience leading audits, investigations, or compliance initiatives.
- Equivalent combination of educational and work experience may qualify.
Qualifications
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or similar credential (preferred).
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, DMHC, CMS requirements).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and compliance systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, influence stakeholders, and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Work Environment
Primarily a sedentary, hybrid role involving computer-based work with occasional travel. Requires advanced analytical thinking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex compliance and regulatory matters. Involves frequent interaction with cross-functional teams, leadership, and external stakeholders. May occasionally require lifting or moving items up to 15 pounds.
Pay
$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 / annually
