Senior Compensation Equity Analyst
About The Role
The Senior Compensation Equity Analyst will lead engagement delivery for a portfolio of public company boards of directors, serving as the primary point of accountability from scoping through final presentation. This is not an internal-facing role. You will be in front of clients regularly. We need you to find that energizing.
ACPBW's Research & Analytics practice serves organizations that are trying to do the right thing on non-executive director compensation benchmarking — and some that are trying to appear to do the right thing on non-executive director compensation benchmarking. The Senior Compensation Equity Analyst will work with both categories. This requires a particular combination of intellectual integrity and interpersonal diplomacy. We can train the latter. We cannot train the former.
ACPBW's Research & Analytics team has been deliberate about building a practice that is analytically rigorous and accessible to the clients who need it most. The Senior Compensation Equity Analyst will add capacity and expertise in non-executive director compensation benchmarking at a time when client demand has meaningfully outpaced what our current team can absorb. You will have real work from day one.

- ACPBW's approach to professional development is substantive rather than performative. Our training programs are structured. Our mentorship is specific and ongoing. Our internal mobility is real.
- We have promoted people from Analyst to Director within five years. We have also let people go who stopped growing. We believe both things are consistent with a culture that takes development seriously.
- ACPBW was founded in Milwaukee in 2006 with a simple mandate: help working Americans understand and advocate for the compensation they deserve. Eighteen years later, that mandate has grown into a full-service research and advisory practice serving clients from early-stage employers to Fortune 50 enterprises — and we are still based in Milwaukee, because Milwaukee is genuinely underrated.
- We begin with a brief application review, followed by a 30-minute phone screen. Qualified candidates proceed to a 90-minute interview with the hiring manager and a peer.
- Final candidates are invited to Milwaukee for a half-day that includes a panel interview, a case discussion, and lunch with the team. Parking is validated. The lunch is genuinely good.
- Lead at least one client kick-off meeting independently or with minimal support
- Deliver an internal presentation sharing key insights from your first major client engagement
- Complete ACPWB's structured onboarding program and gain working fluency in our core analytical methodologies
- Develop fluency with ACPWB's client communication norms, deliverable standards, and quality review process
