About the role

Responsible for leading pottery and ceramic workshops at the Senior Community, providing creative expression opportunities for seniors.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute pottery and ceramic workshops tailored to senior needs and interests.
  • Encourage creativity and skill development among participants.
  • Ensure safety and proper handling of all materials and equipment.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Ceramics, or related field.
  • Experience teaching pottery or ceramics to adults.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques.
  • Knowledge of glazing and firing processes.
  • Basic understanding of ceramics history and theory.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and participant needs.

Pay
