About the role

Credo is seeking a Senior Community Engagement Specialist based out of the San Jose Office who will report into the Director, People Experience. This role partners with vendors and the business (i.e., People Team, Office Managers, Marketing Communications, ESG, Information Technology, Volunteer Employees, and Senior Leaders) to plan and execute employee events related to company initiatives, celebrations, and Credo Cares (our volunteer and community giving program) at the San Jose Office and surrounding Bay Area.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of relevant corporate experience working autonomously in event planning, corporate social responsibility, or employee engagement.
    • Bachelor’s degree (Nonprofit Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or Communications preferred) from an accredited, 4-year university or equivalent work experience.
    • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally in the Bay Area up to 15% of the time to support events on location.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience thoughtfully integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
    • Experience in a tech company, partnering across China, Hong Kong, Israel, Taiwan or Singapore.
    • Experience using Asana project management software.
    • Experience photographing employees at company events using a DSLR or mirrorless camera.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Event Management:
    • In partnership with the business, manage end-to-end logistics including venue research, vendor coordination, internal communications, gifting, registration, catering, signage, shipping and on-site support.
    • Aid in on-site execution, including setup, food deliveries, guest check-in, troubleshooting, stakeholder support, and post-event pack-down, invoice routing, and retrospectives.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Assist Credo leadership in developing and implementing a community engagement strategy designed to further Credo’s company objectives.
    • Stay up to date on industry trends and make recommendations for adjustments to strategies and practices.
  • Project Management:
    • Maintain clear trackers, timelines, checklists, and project documentation, so the team always knows what is happening, who owns what, and what is due next.
    • Support event follow-ups, metric readouts, and other internal stakeholder summaries.
  • Reporting and Analytics:
    • Measure and track progress on community engagement plans by analyzing feedback, insights, and consulting on action plans informed by data.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Capture learnings after events through feedback, retrospectives, and post-event notes to help the team improve future experiences.
  • Employee Branded Gifts Management:
    • Manage current inventory of Credo branded gifts for new hires and interns, including monitoring stock levels, coordinating reorders, liaising with vendors, and ensuring kits are accurately assembled and ready for distribution on time.
    • Support additional branded gift needs for employees throughout the year.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Serve as the liaison with relevant vendors, answer employee community engagement questions, submit purchase orders, and perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

Base Salary Range is $90,000-$130,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity, and a full range of medical and other benefits.
