About the role
This position is located at our Mills, WY Casper Mills branch. The Senior Community Branch Manager oversees sustainable growth, strengthens operational excellence, and elevates team capability, typically in a branch(es) with deposits greater than $100MM. This is a producing role focused on developing and maintaining client relationships using the full spectrum of banking services, prioritizing sales practices, risk management, and digital engagement.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate integrated delivery of financial services and products, including customized lending, cash management, and investment management, by referring clients to the appropriate department or division.
- Manage the effective use of client relationship management software, recording activities, incidents, referrals, and marketing.
- Foster growth in top client relationships of the branch.
- Identify referral opportunities to other lines of business, including Home Loans, Treasury Solutions, Merchant Services, Small Business Banking, and Wealth Management, utilizing 360 View for documenting referrals and client activity.
- Build client relationships through outbound and proactive measures.
- Open and maintain a variety of products, including consumer and business checking and savings accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, and consumer and small business credit cards.
- Process new consumer and small business loan requests.
- Stay up to date on regulation changes, follow all Bank policies and procedures, and complete required annual or job-specific training.
- Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job functions.
- Participate in and enforce all aspects of branch security in accordance with First Interstate Bank's security policy.
- Ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and quality standards are met.
- Foster the Bank's corporate culture, embracing its vision, mission, and values.
- Take personal initiative and serve as a positive example for others.
- Participate in volunteer activities and financial education.
- Ensure positive community relations in the branch market area and coordinate with other branches to foster a unified presence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Management Responsibilities
- Manage one or more branches within a market, ensuring consistent performance execution, employee engagement, and operational soundness.
- Oversee the selection, placement, performance, development, promotion, and termination of branch employees in collaboration with the Community Market Leader.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development to ensure team members build proficiency in consumer and small business lending and deposit account opening, using dashboards to monitor and measure performance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- 7-9 years of experience in the banking industry, including supervisor or management experience.
- Consumer and Small Business lending origination experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Must become a Registered Mortgage Loan Officer per the SAFE Act within 30 days of hire.
- Notary Certification preferred.

- Strong understanding of digital banking capabilities, CRM utilization, and customer adoption strategies.
- Ability to solve complex operational or client-related challenges using sound judgment, data interpretation, and risk-aware decision-making.
- Skilled in building trust, conducting quality conversations, identifying needs, and aligning customers with appropriate solutions across banking lines.
- Demonstrated ability to identify client needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
