Responsibilities
- Provides installation, technical expertise, and training for all telecommunications equipment and components.
- Installs, configures, terminates and tests all telecommunications equipment, cables, connectors, and interfaces.
- Performs intricate alignment and calibration procedures to ensure telecommunication systems are operating efficiently.
- Maintains telecommunication equipment and component inventory, asset management, media production equipment and facilities as well as fixed installations at various company and/or client sites.
- Solves system operational problems by troubleshooting and performing fault isolation.
- May supervise telecommunications technicians, outside contractors providing technical support and media production services.
- Responsible for engineering and/or installation activities within the telecommunications function including network design, engineering, implementation, diagnostics and operations/user support.
- Monitors the operation of telecommunication network systems and transition mediums.
- Serves as technical specialist for the resolution of complex network problems.
- Provides field reporting as required.
- Track SATCOM terminals movement for the customer
- Manage satellite airtime
Qualifications
- High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
- Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI
- Experience with DoD NIPR, SIPR and AFSCI Networks
- DoD 8140 IAT II certifcation
- Ability to provide 24/7 support
- Experience with MILSATCOM and Commercial Satellite terminals
- Communication Planning
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices
- A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment
Pay
USD $95,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.
