Role Description

The Senior Commissioning Provider is a full-time, on-site role based in Jackson, MS, responsible for leading commissioning activities for new construction and existing building projects in the state. This role plans, coordinates, and executes the Holistic Commissioning® process, including developing commissioning plans, reviewing design documents, creating test procedures, and overseeing functional performance testing of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and enclosure systems. The Senior Commissioning Provider conducts site visits, leads field investigations, documents deficiencies, and collaborates with owners, designers, and contractors to resolve issues and optimize building performance. The individual in this role ensures the commissioning process is carried out per construction documents and helps maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and reliable project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in MEP design and/or commissioning
  • Must possess a P.E. license
  • Strong building systems expertise, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and enclosure systems, with experience in commissioning, retro-commissioning, and energy performance evaluations
  • Skills in technical analysis and documentation, such as reviewing design drawings and specifications, developing test procedures, interpreting building automation data, and writing clear, detailed commissioning reports
  • Project management and coordination skills, including scheduling, task prioritization, stakeholder communication, meeting facilitation, and collaborative problem-solving with multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards, such as LEED commissioning requirements, energy codes, and best practices in high-performance and green building design
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences, build client trust, and provide guidance to junior staff
