Senior Commissioning Lead
Scope & Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients and projects, including client relationships, team leadership, technical oversight and schedule & budget management.
- Led data-driven commissioning projects, leveraging Altura Analytics and industry software tools to deliver superior client outcomes and building performance.
- Maintain and grow a presence for Altura in Northern CA through active engagement in local industry associations, speaking engagements, and thought leadership.
- Lead business development efforts to grow Altura’s client base and expand services with existing clients.
- Execute project work and manage internal teams to deliver:
- New Construction Commissioning and Performance Delivery Projects: Project management, design reviews, submittal reviews, Cx documentation coordination, contractor scheduling and Cx strategy support, functional testing, analytics-driven testing and analysis.
- Existing Building Audits and Commissioning Projects: Project management, ASHRAE Level 1&2 Audits, field testing, energy savings project development, analytics-driven analysis, calculation of energy conservation measure performance, project presentations, bid document development, implementation support, M&V.
Location
Work out of the Altura office in Oakland, CA on a hybrid in-office basis, with a schedule to be negotiated.
Travel within the U.S. to engage with clients and manage projects as needed. Travel is expected to average 10-20% over the course of a year.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in engineering field (mechanical preferred), including building energy engineering (MEP and controls), commissioning and project management experience.
- 5+ years of client management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record of building collaboration within teams to solve complex problems.
- Proven track record of developing client relationships and selling new work, including significant experience with proposal strategy, pricing, and authoring.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related discipline.
- P.E. (mechanical or electrical).
- Excellent technical writing skills.

Base salaries will be determined by factors such as geographic location, education, skills, experience, and market considerations. For this role the annual base salary range is $160,000-$180,000 plus a performance bonus.
