Senior Commissioning Engineer

Job Summary

BR+A Consulting Engineers is seeking a Sr. Commissioning Engineer in our St. Louis, MO office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of commissioning experience and demonstrate strong project management skills, particularly in healthcare, higher education, science & technology, transportation, and critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Business Development: Prospecting for commissioning opportunities, preparing proposals, and managing contracts.
• Project Management: Estimating fees, closing business, and executing projects according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Resource Management: Filling positions needed to complete projects and managing resources to ensure successful project execution.
• Documentation: Developing, maintaining, and publishing commissioning documents on commissioning software platforms and project documentation systems.
• Work Backlog Management: Managing work backlog to exceed client expectations.
• Travel: Frequent travel (about 75%) for client meetings and project work.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of commissioning experience.
• Proven commissioning project management experience, including technical, financial, and project development skills.
• Leadership skills to counsel clients and project teams through the commissioning process.
• Experience working in healthcare, higher education, science & technology, transportation, and critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
