Senior Commercial Product Development Analyst
Duties And Responsibilities
- Review and identify quality programs that exist in the Personal and Commercial lines markets.
- Compare them for competitiveness.
- Identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share.
- Develop manuals and forms for filing as required by state.
- Make filings using SERFF/IFile and shepherd through process.
- Work with management and actuaries on interrogatories and assist with rate filings.
- Work closely with teams to deliver with quick time-to-market.
- Drive product launches including working with marketing team, executives, and underwriting and customer service team members.
- Regularly research applicable state laws, bulletins, and statutes to review and amend forms for legislative compliance.
- Maintain professional relationships and communication with external vendors and legislators.
- Maintain insurance rates and premium calculations.
- Identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share.
- Participate in business process management efforts to collect and analyze metrics and continually improve processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis to recommend product or service enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve productivity for both the business units and third-party software vendors.
- Complete ad hoc analytical projects as assigned which may include statistical reporting or agency management requests.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in the P&C insurance industry with a focus on Commercial Lines.
- Proficient knowledge of ISO Commercial Lines manuals and rating algorithms.
- Proficient knowledge of ISO forms and coverages.
- Proficient knowledge of property and casualty insurance required.
- Previous experience working with state Departments of Insurance strongly preferred.
- CPCU or other insurance designations strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in program development and product filing in multiples states for both Personal and Commercial Lines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, detailed analytical skills, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, data & business process modeling, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong system organizational skills.
