About the role
The opportunity involves managing payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the role includes overseeing payroll processes, analyzing data, and providing insights to senior management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments to employees
- Manage employee benefits administration including insurance enrollments and deductions
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues and inquiries
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to regulatory bodies and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and company policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll management or similar role
- CPA certification preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Qualifications
- Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Gusto, or Paychex
- Knowledge of employment law and labor regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
