This role focuses on maintaining and validating the collateral and loan activity of an assigned loan portfolio, serving as the primary customer contact for all collateral and loan-related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for all matters relating to loan operations in conjunction with the department’s Portfolio Management.
  • Perform proactive monitoring, governance, and risk identification and escalation for the assigned department, making sound risk decisions in line with policy, procedures, and regulations.
  • Process, examine, monitor, and reconcile client collateral and loan information, including client sales, credit memos, cash receipts, accounts receivables, inventory, ineligibles, borrowing base certificates, excess availability, and reserves.
  • Create and input new loans in the system, reconciling the setup to ensure adherence to the credit approval memo and loan agreements.
  • Process, post, reconcile, and decision loan advance requests in accordance with credit policy and authority.
  • Reconcile collateral, loan balance, and availability daily, computing and reconciling collateral ineligibles and reserves as per the loan agreement.
  • Set up, monitor, and follow up on collateral, financial, and other reporting requirements in the loan system.
  • Train new clients on reporting procedures and onboard new and existing analysts in processes and procedures.
  • Execute applicable risk programs and controls, adhering to policies and procedures, fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, and escalating issues effectively.
  • Ensure all client reporting complies with the terms of the loan agreement, resolving inadequacies and escalating to senior management as needed.
  • Propose process and quality improvements as needed, ensuring data integrity and accuracy of the loan system at all times.
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance, following Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of work experience in a collateral monitoring capacity in asset-based lending.
  • Experience with data mining software such as Monarch, AR Wizard, and/or Access.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and loan systems like IDS/ABLM.net or CIBM.net (Solifi/Stucky).
  • Ability to operate customary business equipment and technology, with or without accommodation.
