About the role
A growing medical-device manufacturer is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer to set up and program CNC mill machines, inspect parts, complete documentation, and perform preventive maintenance and housekeeping. Strict adherence to Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and the Quality Management System (QMS) is required.
Responsibilities
- Operate multiple CNC mill machines and perform machine changeovers and setups to support production and on-time customer delivery.
- Program in SolidCAM; edit and optimize programs; set up new programs for single-spindle (Haas, Hurco, Robodrill) and multi-spindle 5-axis milling machines.
- Ensure tool paths are optimized for efficiency, precision, and minimal tool wear.
- Apply advanced understanding of CNC mill G-code; load, verify, and debug CNC programs.
- Adjust offsets and programs as necessary to achieve design specifications.
- Mentor Level 1, 2, and 3 CNC Mill Programmers to improve department skills.
- Execute EPICOR ERP transactions to support job functions.
- Document production by completing forms, reports, logs, and records of jobs and equipment.
- Operate and maintain equipment by following established procedures; perform preventive maintenance.
- Adhere to EXALTA safety and OSHA requirements, cGMP, SWIs, SOPs, GDP, and QMS.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years as a CNC Mill Programmer III, or equivalent prior experience.
- 5+ years of CNC mill programming on 5-axis machines; experience with multi-spindle 5-axis machines preferred.
- Working knowledge of data entry, ERP systems, and job-traveler execution.
- Working knowledge of SOPs, SWIs, cGMP, GDP, and QMS.
- Manufacturing experience.
Pay
$100,000 – $120,000, depending on experience.
