Senior Cloud Solution Architect

Overview

Microsoft’s Customer Success Unit (CSU) empowers customers to accelerate business value through differentiated experiences that leverage Microsoft products and services. The Senior Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) – AI Solutions will drive AI transformation for customers in Europe North, focusing on Copilot Chat, Agents, and M365 Copilot. The role serves as a strategic trusted advisor and technical subject‑matter expert to executive and technical decision‑makers, owning the most complex and strategically significant engagements, including public‑sector, defence, and critical‑infrastructure customers. Personal security clearance is required. The position offers up to 50 % remote work.

Responsibilities

• Drive customer success by leading architectural design, engaging business and technical decision‑makers to secure long‑term usage and renewal of Copilot Chat, Agents, and M365 Copilot in the most complex accounts.
• Leverage agentic AI: apply Copilot prompt engineering and agent‑building expertise to scale AI, defining reference architectures and delivery patterns for reuse by other architects.
• Lead technically across the account team: orchestrate virtual specialist teams, resolve escalated technical blockers, and assume architectural accountability for engagements with significant business, security, or regulatory risk, including work under national security clearance.
• Explore growth opportunities: partner with technical and sales teams to identify and develop tailored solutions that expand business value.
• Grow the community: mentor and coach less‑experienced architects, lead readiness and skilling sessions, contribute to intellectual‑property creation, and prioritize IP reuse to accelerate customers’ AI transformation journeys.
• Embrace a growth mindset: act as the voice of the customer by sharing insights, feedback, and success stories to inform internal strategy and maintain technical readiness aligned with CSU priorities and corporate initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or a related field, and experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting; or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a customer‑facing role (internal and/or external) with a proven record of advising senior and executive stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi‑workload architectures end‑to‑end and mentor other architects or engineers.
• Hands‑on experience with M365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio, prompt engineering, Microsoft Graph connectors, Azure AI services, and agent development.

Pay
