About the role
This is a FULL-TIME, DIRECT HIRE role that will sit ON-SITE 2-3 days a week in Boston.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and support production AWS and Kubernetes environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability.
- Administer Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Manage AWS infrastructure, IAM, networking, security controls, and governance policies.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead troubleshooting efforts during production incidents.
- Maintain and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across the platform.
- Automate operational processes and drive continuous improvements in platform stability and efficiency.
- Partner with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to support deployments and resolve platform-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative solutions to improve reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration, including cluster operations, upgrades, networking, ingress, storage, security, and troubleshooting.
- Strong AWS experience with services such as EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, Load Balancers, and EFS.
- Experience implementing AWS governance, IAM policies, and cloud security best practices.
- Strong Linux administration and infrastructure troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and observability platforms such as Datadog.
- Proven experience supporting production incidents and participating in on-call rotations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating Kubernetes at enterprise scale.
- Familiarity with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
- Experience with policy enforcement and security tools such as Kyverno.
- AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps, CKA).
- Experience working in regulated or highly secure environments.
