Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS & Azure)

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to help drive large-scale cloud transformation initiatives supporting a statewide shared services environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Lead cloud migrations and platform operations
• Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer
• Establish cloud governance and security controls

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or architecture
• 8+ years of technical architecture experience
• 5-7 years of AWS experience (IAM, Organizations, Networking Architectures, Cost Management controls, etc.)
• 3-5 years of Azure experience (RBAC, Azure AD, Networking Architectures, Cost Management controls, etc.)
• 3-7 years of enterprise cloud architecture or governance experience
• 3-5 years of Terraform and infrastructure as code experience
• 3-5 years of cloud migrations and platform operations experience
• 3+ years of technical leadership and knowledge transfer experience
• Public Cloud infrastructure expertise
• Visa required: USC, GC, or OPT
• Employment Type: W2 Only (No C2C or 1099)

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in Terraform infrastructure as code and scaling technologies
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container platforms
• Knowledge of security, penetration testing, and threat detection tools
• Experience with ServiceNow, Datadog, Dome9, and/or Aviatrix
• Background in DevOps, Software Development, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineering
• Experience with configuration management and continuous deployment
• AWS and/or Azure certifications
